What do I need to bring to the polls?
In order to vote in-person or to return your mail-in ballot in person in Texas, you’ll need an acceptable form of photo ID, current or expired less than 4 years.
- Texas Driver’s License / ID card
- Texas election ID
- Texas handgun license
- US military ID with photo
- US citizenship certificate with photo
- US passport
I don't have any of those forms of ID. Can I still vote?
Yes. If your ID is expired by *more than four years*, or if you don’t possess one of the 7 acceptable forms of photo ID, you are still eligible to vote, but you’ll need to fill out a form called a “reasonable impediment form”. Contact the Bexar County voter registrar for more information at (210) 335-8683 or BexarCountyElections@bexar.org.
